Risk Disclosure & Asset Protection
Last updated: July 23, 2024
This disclosure outlines the risks associated with digital asset management and the specific protections of the TrustWalletLedger Treasury Vault.
1. Market Context vs. Vault Protection
General Market Risk: While the broader cryptocurrency market is highly volatile and speculative, the Treasury Vault is designed to isolate your capital from this volatility.
Capital Preservation: For Treasury Vault participants, the primary objective is the protection of principal. Your initial deposit is contractually returned at maturity, and the platform's operational framework absorbs market risk to ensure this outcome.
2. Liquidity & Access
Fixed Terms: To ensure stability and capital preservation, Treasury Vault deposits are locked for a fixed term (6 or 12 months). Early withdrawals are not supported to maintain the integrity of the payout structure.
Processing Times: Standard withdrawals at maturity are processed securely within 24-48 hours, subject to blockchain confirmation times.
3. Security & Custody
Non-Custodial Structure: You retain full ownership of your funds. TrustWalletLedger executes trades via secure, permissioned integrations without holding your private keys.
Institutional Security: Assets are managed using bank-grade security protocols, multi-signature cold storage, and segregated accounts to mitigate operational and cybersecurity risks.
4. Regulatory & Tax Compliance
US-Regulated Framework: We operate within applicable US financial-services frameworks.
Tax Responsibility: Applicable platform withholding may apply to the profit portion of your Treasury Vault payout for US persons. This is a platform withholding, not tax advice. Your principal is returned in full. You are solely responsible for determining and meeting any tax obligations in your jurisdiction. Tax treatment varies by location; please consult a qualified tax professional.
5. No Financial Advice
TrustWalletLedger provides a technology and asset management service, not financial, legal, or tax advice.
